    hohoho, its almost like xmas.. cuz i got yet 2 more new packs i just made for y'all

    with teamonsters new release of a version of his amazing ogre model wielding the original GL the player also has, i thought id release 2 new packs for both ID1/HIPNOTIC and for ROGUE, completely replacing the old ID1 ogre with both versions of teamonster's ogre

          thanx lam for deleting that spam from uzi

          and yeah i did get your pm with your edited skin, and i looked at it. looks great in-game. i just dunno about the red eyes. might look into changing them back to same color normal ogre had or such. but the texture looks great in-game, lot better then my uber-simple and flat-out lazy recoloring that i had done

          ill look more into it later and perhaps mod the eyes, and then ill make the pack you requested and release it here

              oh yeah. been so long that i played rogue without replacement skins i forgot how he originally looked like

              in that case its great that you made his eyes red too, cuz its same as how it original multi-G ogre skin was

                and as promised... le voila, another update


                new pack for ROGUE/MP2 with gl version of teamonsters for both ogre& multi-G ogre,
                with OoPpEe's modified skin for multi-G ogre (which is much better then my uber-lazy recolor )

                and also as requested by OoPpEe, a second pack for use without seven's SMC.

                  got another small update for you all

                  lambent updated his multi-ogre skin, there were some visible seams in some bloodsplats which he fixed.

                  updated both rogue multi-ogre packs with lambents new updated skin

                    she just doesnt stop, does she? nope

                    i got yet another update for you all

                    by my request OoPpEe/Lambent made a bloody version of the normal ogre skin,
                    and i set up a new pack for ID1&HIPNOTIC with both version of ogre with normal&bloody versions of each, thus making for a total of 4 different ogres

                    L-R (not counting half visible ogre): bloody GL, normal GL, bloody original, normal original



                    and also for ROGUE i set up a new pack with now normal and bloody versions for 2nd ogre which has teamonsters original weapon, so that we now have 3 versions of normal ogre in ROGUE (sorry about the shitty pic, after trying for half an hour this was the best pic i could get)

                    L-R: GL ogre, bloody original, multi-ogre, normal original

                    also, noticed i had accidentially forgot to add teamonsters readme to ROGUE ogre no-SMC pack and didnt add credits, so i replaced link with new pk3 which includes those

                    updated the download links in 1st post of thread with new packs

                      One question before I instal a couple of these high poly models (definately installing the rotfish, fiend, fredrich's shambler, vore, scrag spawn and ogre depending on the answer).... when you gib these guys do they have their own high poly decapitated head? If it reverts to the old low poly head this will be an illusion breaker for me and will wait a bit longer for high poly models.

                      Looks like Fredrichs shambler does not have a high poly gib head... I may have to make an exception and use that model anyway.. that thing is just awesom.....

                      That high poly model truly conveys the primal terror the original shambler made me feel waaaaaaaaay back in 1996. It literally LOOKS like it would rip your head off and suck out your innards through the hole...

                        most of them do have custom headgibs. spawn doesnt have any gib at all cuz it doesnt gib but explodes when it dies.
                        and same counts for fish, rotfish doesnt spawn a headgib when it gets gibbed.

                        just thought about it and checked, and all of the hi-poly models come with custom headgibs.
                        the only one which doesnt are both shambler models.
                        all other hi-poly monsters all come with custom headgibs models

                          Yeah I found that Fredrichs shambler doesnt have a proper head gib but heck using it anyway it is too awesome not to use...

                            eyup. sadly both shamblers dont have custom headgibs, which is a real shame cuz its such an awesome enemy.

                            all other enemies do come with custom headgibs though

                              Hello splitterface,

                              In all your Ogre .pk3īs, the head gib will not be visible due to wrong .skin file.
                              The .skin file text is case sensitive. You must replace "h_Ogre" with "h_ogre". Then it will work.

                              Regarding the shambler head gibs:
                              You have the model of the complete monster, right ?
                              Then why not create the head gib yourself ?
                              It would be a good opportunity for you to learn something.
                              Its more or less just a cutting/trimming off the head from the monsters model.

                                really? lemme check about the .skin files
                                lemme download them myself and check if you are right about the skin files.
                                if thats true ill update them right away.


                                about gib:
                                bwahaha im just barely starting to learn modelling, i cant do something like taht yet.
                                in time i will be able to do stuff like that, but not yet right now

                                ive asked teamonster though to do it for me, and he's working on it
                                so soon when he's done with it we'll have headgib for andrew joll shambler

                                .

                                EDIT: just checked and you were right about the ogre .skin files seven. also i noticed i had accidentially forgot to update the head-gib models with the correctly sized ones. the to-big ones were still in pk3.
                                both are fixed now
