Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I just realized that the skin on Bloodshot's Enforcer model is not applied properly. You can clearly see black seams on the model. This may have happened when I resized the skin from 512x512 to 480x480 to make it work in Quakespasm. I have asked Bloodshot to fix it. It is supposed to look like this.Last edited by NightFright; 04-05-2018, 03:09 AM.

The horns should go, then it would be an awesome addition to our pack here. It looks a bit more female than the original (if you know what I mean), but it's within acceptable boundries.
I will try to encourage Chillo on Twitter to create a model edit without horns. Since this guy seems to be quite active right now, there are chances he'll actually do it. ^^Last edited by NightFright; 04-08-2018, 12:31 PM.

And Chillo just completed a new Death Knight:

This guy is just incredible! I'm still trying to convince him to remove the horns from the Vore, then both models can be added to the pack, I guess.Last edited by NightFright; 04-19-2018, 07:55 AM.

I am still in negotiations with Chillo to release a "hornless" Vore model. Giving it a female touch is kinda OK for me even though it's already a deviation, but the horns just move it too far away from the original.
Since I doubt that the Rotfish or Spawn really need remakes (maybe Shub, considering how awesome Chillo's Chthon turned out), the ID1 bestiary can be considered pretty much done after this.
Side note:
I found out why the new models were crashing with newer Mark V releases - I was using r_shadows "3" in my autoexec.cfg which apparently exceeds the verts limit with models like Chillo's Ogre or bloodshot's Fiend. You can eliminate the crashes for now by changing to r_shadows "2" (or simply not using this visual feature at all, of course). Baker will likely come up with a fix for this in one of the upcoming Mark V builds.Last edited by NightFright; 04-19-2018, 08:11 AM.

Baker recently released a new version of Mark V [1.98] which makes improved models with volumentric shadows (r_shadows "3") work again without crashing the client.
In the meantime, Chillo also released a new Shambler replacement model, but I'm not sure if it beats Skiffy's remake. Guess it doesn't, even though it looks kinda more similar to the original.
