My take on it is this - if you know there is a tiger prowling nearby, eating people, and you get eaten, it was meant to be. You were born to be tiger food. I mean what was going through the minds of the last victims? "There is a tiger loose and it's eating people. I ought to be very careful when wandering about." lol
Actually, if these people just carried umbrellas they could have stood a good chance of fending the tiger off. Tigers don't like to face their prey and facing one that carries an exploding disc is even less appealing. Your only hope with a tiger is to face it head on and hope you convince it that you are too much trouble (I'm speaking aside from just simply shooting it). Also the umbrella gives it something other than you to attack. However, the reality is 99% of people would shit their pants as soon as they see a tiger and would probably be too scared to do anything but become food or the stupidest thing ever...run. You run you are definitely done. You will not outrun a tiger (obv) but worse you would be creating the exact condition the tiger wants... an opportunity to jump on your back.
