Chuck used to throw some music trivia up occasionally, I usually nailed them. He sometimes did a quick cut of a song, like name that tune.

If you notice in both my QuakeOne Competition threads, I ask if a prize is possible. I wouldn't want to put the admins (Baker ) on the spot. It still disturbs me that Rocketguy finished the 2nd faster than lardarse finished the 1st... My next one won't be so "easy" >: D

And for the record, I wasn't planning in creating such a trend but I guess these things happen

The question was a good one and difficult. A proper contest would have 10 difficult questions like that.

I'll do it this time, but a contest needs to one that has a guaranteed lifespan of at least 3 to 7 days so it can be front paged for a news update.

/yeah lately I haven't been updating the news as frequently, but that's because I've been working non-stop on projects.

I read this thread for the first time today.

We aren't giving away custom titles for "Guess my favorite band" or "Guess my favorite ______" threads.

The contest or challenge has to be sufficiently difficult and/or deep. It doesn't have to be Quake related, but if it is not it needs to have broad appeal.

Btw ... there was no title custom given away for the anagram thread from back in March, the one Phenom quickly solved in 10 minutes. Maybe there should have been, I thought it was amazing he solved it so quickly.

I'm calling out one of my favours for this one Baker. Do it or else you lose all respect I may have had for you.

This isnt about we, this is a personal favour for me.


By the way this has as much broad appeal as Canadian's coding question. I'm no coder, yet had I attempted to solve the question, his clues would have lead me to the correct answer. That's how I made my questions and Lefty is ftw for getting it.

I learned to play guitar on KISS and Black Sabbath.... had all the 8 tracks,,,lol...

Also got to meet KISS years ago during the first reunion tour... a good friend of mine used to date their tour manager. lol.. some of my friends followed them around for about 6 shows, but i didnt' have that much time.. it was very very cool...especially considering all the shows of theirs i had seen in the past.
Destroyer, Dynasty, Creatures of the Night, Lick it Up, Animalize and the first and second reunion tour... I've also seen Frehleys Comet several times as well...
Saw peter chriss's solo band one time, year and years ago, but i dont' even remember the name of that band... shows how good they were... not very memorable...
