One trick in Windows that most people know about is to press Printscreen and then go to Word or a photo editor and do edit paste and you'll have pasted a screenshot.



Here is my desktop, I have my desktop simple. A few shortcuts in the toolbar and I have desktop icons hidden. You can hide icons by right clicking in the desktop and click arrange icons and then uncheck "Show Desktop Icons".

Don't really get how your thread relates to tricking windows but I remember how you could get the blue screen of death just by:

1) creating folder A
2) cd into folder A (Explorer)
3) press back
4) delete the folder
5) press forward

I don't know HOW to do this, but istead of totally REFORMATTING (pain in 73]-[ @$$) you can "repair" windows. I suppose it replaces all altered windows files that the origional CD doesn't recgionize...
