Hooked up my dad's old 17" CRT. 1280x1024 pwnz. Really, I love having a higher res... I love being able to look at 1024x768 images without scrolling at all

It was a pain in the ass to configure in the nvidia control panel since it's a dark monitor, but I think I got it now.

Boost that refresh rate up to 250hz!!! But never go past 300hz tho, my dad's still mad it me for vaporizing his monitor by overclocking it.

Listen, why would I even bother buying one, if I can pay much less in an awesome PC, that will run awesome games that can be played with people from all around the globe?

Also, at the same time, you may learn something at the computer that might be useful in a future job, because you have to do stuff with folders, files etc.

And what about videogame? It's just pressing some random buttons! Wake up, people!

Because consoles are cheaper. To build a pc that can do what a console can do as well as it can, you would have to spend upwards of $1000. However, an Xbox 360 only costs $400 or so for the basic unit. The Xbox also has online capabilities so you can play online as well. However, you can do a whole hell of a lot more with pc's.

And as for video games it's more than just pressing buttons... those buttons make your guy do stuff, like shoot at monsters.

PC = play by yourself all alone in your little computer room in your mom's basement

pcs can = having fun connected to a server with your friends who alos have computers and enjoying having your own screen

How so? Got your friends talking to you hooked up through xfire or ventrillo or something with headsets while playing a game and having the comfort of not putting up with that splitscreen shit is essentially the same thing.
