    They had to break in to the convertible? Duh! It's a convertible, you don't need to open the doors. All you need to do is dump it in the water, flip it upside down, and swim up into it. No need to open the doors...

          who specifies that breaking in to a car involves smashing a window or opening a door?
          if you had a convertable, and someone hopped over the door, opened your glove box and stole a box of fuses or something, you would consider that someone breaking in to your car.
