It's too bad the guy who played the 8th Doctor very briefly, for one made for TV movie when FOX had bought the rights in '96 wasn't allowed his serious shot at the role. He was almost like watching Tom Baker. The tv movie sucked, but Paul McGann was pretty damn good as the Dr.

And Eric Roberts played The Master, which was kind of interesting.

But that one you suggested works... thanks. ^_^
I just yank 'em out of my cache and play them with an FLV player. Don't have to convert or use programs that may work now but wont in the future.

You can get the entire run of Tom Baker on bittorrent (another one of those gray areas). It's something like 40 Gigs.

If I had a broadband connection, I'd definitely be checking out Netflix. Depending on the resolution, and whether they're downloadable and DRM free for future viewing, though. I have such a short attention span it sometimes takes me a week to watch a movie.

With Netflix, you can watch movies on your PC and there are about 20 Dr. Who episodes available (which actually amounts to about 100 because some of them are five 23-minute shows, etc.)

The Dr. Who in 2005 is pretty good, excellent actor. Aside from him, I watched small parts of some of the other Dr. Who actors and it seems like the other actors who played Doctor Who were crap compared to Tom Baker.

Brock : "His scarf killed Stimson."
The Doctor : "Arrest the scarf then!"

I'm a fan of the the Tom Baker era too. The new series and its spinoffs are great too, though. It gave us Billy Piper after all.

Huge fan of Blackadder too. Especially the first season. Funniest show in the history of television.

He's still going strong. Apart from his memorable performance on the Blackadder series as a legless (literally), mad sailor, one of the most popular things he does now is the strange voice over for the comedy series Little Brittain. It seems that the others appear to have faded in to obscurity.

    Regards

...wonder if it'll work for youtube videos as well, as i've been trying to rip these for awhile, and did have a program that will record (screen selected areas) but had some issues with getting audio to record as well. Probably b/c i'm an idiot an didn't try looping it back into the line-in port but i forget, it was a long time ago that i was fiddling with that.

    Thanks again. ^^

    No probs

Not that I'm advocating copyright theft but hyperthetically if you were trying to get YouTube videos you might consider looking at http://keepvid.com/ to rip it to your hard drive and then http://media-convert.com/ to convert it to whatever format you need. Both are online applications so you shouldn't have to install anything... erm hyperthetically .

Hum interesting another new programming language or maybe it's old i have no idea: http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/

I'll try it out since that's just the ruby environment/ide or whatever, wonder if it'll work for youtube videos as well, as i've been trying to rip these for awhile, and did have a program that will record (screen selected areas) but had some issues with getting audio to record as well. Thanks Mr. Burns.

Unfortunately it blahs me with this:
Sorry, this programme is only available to play in the UK (Why?)

I'll have to find a torrent of that ep... thanks for the heads up.
