I was considering "Pathfinding", but I chose to beef up my pet and accept the slower method of traveling. I'll probably pick this talent back up when I'm 70 for the sole purpose of PvP.

It is not a RTS like WC,WC2,or WC3.

Thats just like making a Quake game and turning it into a MMORPG,leaving its roots of gameplay behind. Dont mistake this for me hating on WoW because any other reason than its not a tried and true WarCraft game,and for some reason I doubt I will ever see a WarCraft RTS release, with the undeniable success of this puke of a game.

For players and normal mobs, it means that they're 10 levels or more above you. With boss encounters, typically in a raid, it means that the boss is 3 levels above you (no matter what your level is; the HP, attack power, spell damage, etc doesn't scale with the level, but it allows for a player to hit it no matter the level instead of misses and lots of glancing blows)

That's pretty much it. If they are ?? to you, that means they are 10 or more levels higher than you. You are allowed to see up to 9 levels higher than you.

Say what you like about RP servers for a short time it added atmosphere the game lacked and I missed about quake. The servers are full of twelve year olds now so its all cartoony and over simplified again.

Phenom, Sole, and I started our toons on PvP Darrowmere(US). I will admit I played a few months of WoW this summer so I have a lvl 62 Troll Shaman on Darrowmere. However, Darrowmere is a shit server and if I ever do get into the game again I'll pay the money to transfer to Blackrock. I got what I wanted out of WoW right now so I have no reason to get back into it any time soon.

Phenom got back into WoW too and was able to catch up to near my level. I'm sure he's above lvl 62 now.

Other than the instances I haven't touched, I pretty much know 99% of the strategies in WoW. That's pretty scary and I'm glad I'm giving it a rest 0_o.

Lots of new stuff coming with this patch.

Here's a new talent calculator. They completely rebuilt the talent trees to coincide with leveling to 80 with the expansion. I'm sure all talent points will be refunded.

New Profession

Patch 3.0.2 is adding a new profession to the game, Inscription. One of the best guides available on the net.


Two New Arenas

Patch 3.0.2 is adding 2 new arenas to the game: Ogrimmar Arena and Dalaran Arena.

TBC Raid Content Changes
To coincide with the upcoming new talents and mechanic changes for classes in the next patch, we are making some adjustments in existing raid content to provide a smooth transition when the upcoming patch is released.

The creatures and bosses in raid dungeons that were introduced in The Burning Crusade will have their health reduced (by 30%), and most will have their standard melee damage output reduced as well, but their spell and ability damage are not being changed. These changes are being made in all raid dungeons from Karazhan to Sunwell Plateau as well as the outdoor encounters of Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker. On top of this Illidan is also doing his part and will stop casting Shear on players.

End of Arena Season 4
We’re currently planning to end the fourth Arena season on October 14, 2008, and as always -- this date could easily change. This Arena Season is only ending in respect to the ladder, meaning we'll be taking a snapshot of the season's ladder and then go through our normal process to determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards. This process should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the arena-specific title and/or Armored Nether Drake to refrain from transferring their character to another realm between the date outlined above, and when the end-of-season rewards are physically awarded.

Upon the end of this Arena Season, teams and ratings will not be wiped, and will carry forward allowing players to earn points each week and purchase gear until the launch of the expansion (November 13, 200.

WotLK Honor Update
We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

New Honor Rewards
All of the gems that can be purchased with honor will have the Bind on Pickup and Unique-Equipped tags removed so multiples of them can be equipped and they can be traded (or auctioned).

The new items that will be available are:

Cloaks - The Gladiator's Resolution, Cloak of Certain Reprieve, Volanthius Shroud, Sergeant's Reinforced Cape

Trinkets - Battlemaster's Courage, Battlemaster's Resolve, Battlemaster's Aggression, Battlemaster's Celerity
