not with other clients than software

    and
    u missed final doom

    domm game spread :

    1- (the ultamate) doom
    2- doom II
    3- final doom
    4- doom 64
    5- doom 3
    (upcoming)6- doom 4

If you like ZDoom check out SKULLTAG (weird name), but its a client that can load doom1 and 2, hexen and heritic also.

Skulltag and zdoom are very similar, but skulltag is more for multiplayer, whereas zdoom is more for single player.

Either way they're both the best doom clients.

Skull-tag seems very nice, and seems to have a lot of commonality with ZDoom. I've been playing a bit of Hexen, Heretic and Duke 3D (using EDuke32) over the last couple of days. All this because I got nostalgic for Doom's plasma gun. What a noise that thing made though.

Yeah, I'm playing Duke 3D for the first time now. I don't know why I passed it up the first time although I think I might have got playing Quake Test before I got a look at Duke and I just got the bug for Quake. The thing that strikes me about Duke is that it's way ahead of it's time, a lot of the stuff I always had down as Half-Life innovations actually seem to have their roots here, even (in crude form) having to reload your gun! The feel and pace of the game aren't as sweet as Quake's but the attention to detail is great, giving the strippers money, peeing in the toilets (then smashing them with your big boot) etc, etc. Ah well time to go and try to figure out how to get out of that damned submarine!
