  • Quake III Arena

I've had Quake III for years and years (probably since release date) but am i the only one who thinks its a bit limited in Multiplayer for a game that is based on Multiplayer. I mean its main rival at the time was Unreal Tournament 99 which Quake III beat in sales but UT99 had far more games and maps and stuff.

For every 1 bad thing about Quake III, theres everything else that is good. In Offline matches i have reached 5000 points in Q3DM17 (my fave map) because when you get into it its addictive.

This thread is to discuss Quake III and ask questions for the community to anserw. I'm here for you.

The goal of Q3A was simplicity. Almost pure deathmatch distilled down to it's essential components, with no (or at most few) frills attached. Seems quite a few people prefer that to multiple game modes, alternate fire, and so forth, hence it's popularity.
