A tv channel here [USA/Canada] about 15 years old dedicated to science fiction stuff (Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, scifi movies, original series etc.)

They changed the name from Sci-Fi to Sy-Fy for reasons not easily understood but I guess it is supposed to appeal to women also for, um, well ... no one explained that.

I guess they plan to diversify the channel and make it less about science fiction and more about things that aren't science-fiction. Or something?

that's impressive. their research team did a fine job figuring out which is less dorky. it's sci-fi, it's supposed to be nerd friendly. sy-fy? rofl. more like sy-fail.

I read some lame excuse and/or reason they went from Sci-Fi to Sy-Fy , which the new brand is completely retarded style and logo. Someone needs to be fired
