Someone (female) asked me today "Aren't you worried that this guy could come looking for you?"

"It would make a wheelchair salesman somewhere very happy. And I have always been itching for a more direct 'say' in the theory of evolution."

Glad to hear everything went smoothly for you, where I'm from if I called the cops... they'd come and arrest me.

started a topic I caught a bad guy in real life

I caught a bad guy in real life

No not Kimp. [That's coming, it'll take a bit of time to unfold. And that is not a joke.]

Last night, a situation arose where I stalled some iffy character and had unnoticeably called the police and talked to the dispatcher. She sent 2 police cruisers and one of the officers was someone really familiar with me and they showed up 2 minutes later.

The second they showed up, I pointed to this iffy guy and said "That's him". They started asking him questions and he lied about his identity. The guy said "This is harassment. I'm going to talk to my attorney and sue you." I said back "If you have nothing to hide, you'll just tell the officer your story and be on your way after it checks out."

This guy had been breaking into cars several times and stealing wallets. After lying several times about his identity, after 30 minutes they got the guy's real name after his social security number he was giving them and date of birth didn't check out.

I'm laughing my ass off right now because after an hour of the police interrogating the guy I got thanked on behalf of the police department.

They had just busted the guy who has apparently broken into countless cars the last few weeks and now they've got him. It was funny when during the mid-point of the process one of the officers cuffed him and the guy asked "Am I being arrested?" Police: "No your are being detained. In a few minutes after I get confirmation from the dispatcher, you will be arrested at a minimum for falsification. [Lying to the police about his identity.]" Last thing I saw was his girlfriend's car being towed away. Both of them were arrested.

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
