Dont even get me started on this shit, if I want to buy my kid a happy meal once a month then thats on my, hell if I want to feed him a happy meal everyday thats on me, the problem is these laws that are "good for us" are just the beginning, the health care bill will help things like this go through, because now the government has a "stake" in what people pay for medical costs, California is especially screwed, do a search for a ruling Ab32 of California, it wasnt even passed by the legislature because it was approved by C.A.R.B. , its amazing how screwed up this state is, who the fuk do these people think are going to pay for all the added expenses that the "big bad corporations" have to pay,,, US, we are going to pay for EVERYTHING or we will buy from somewhere else, then when the company doesnt make enough money it will relocate(cant blame them), of course its a coastal California area that does this, do they really not have anything better to do, this states fuked, liberals looks at the majority of citizens as idiots, search on youtube for "Bill Maher Georgle Lopez"(not exectly sure where it will come up, Im on my phone so I cant check), theres a clip where he explains to Lopez what the "Democrats" are here to do, imho hes the mainstream, but hes the only one stupid enough to come out and say it, sorry about all the commas but im on my phone and for some reason if I put a period or exclamation then I cant type anything afterwards, its wierd I know,Last edited by sb306; 11-10-2010, 02:25 PM.

Fok Mcdonalds anyway its so unhealthy.
I hit the gym 5 days a week doing cardio &weight lifting and while my daughter doesn't she doesn't get fed that unhealthy garbage except for maybe once or twice a month and she gets chicken nuggets which isn't the worst.
I agree that its the parent's job to keep their kids eating habits in-line and this act is bullshit. The problem with the current American society is the people or "Sheeple". How much longer are we going to allow our government to make uncouth decisions for us and in the same hand lie, obscure truth and outright hide shit from us? If I want to feed my child a happy-meal because she wants the damn toy then I should be able to. Now the governments telling me if my daughter wants a toy with her happy-meal I gotta go and buy her one? Seriously? Don't blame the company people buy their shit for trivial reasons.
Its the old frog in a frying pan trick, and its working. We are the frog and the government is slowly turning up the heat its also known as the "soft-kill" technique. Search up the Georgia Guide Stones, its more then just the damn toy in the happy meal. the Government is killing us. Also look at the Bilderberg Group
how long before WE AS A PEOPLE become awake and aware that we can stop this if we join together as one voice. Stop hating each other and start accepting differences in life. Your neighbor isn't the enemy.
The people shouldn't be afraid of its government, the government should be afraid of the people.
Only God can judge me.Last edited by Phenom; 11-10-2010, 03:55 PM.

I agree. I care what goes into the food my kid eats. I cook most of it myself so I know what's in it.

Im not saying to feed kids happy meals. All im saying is dont take away my right to that option or take away a companies right to sell that option.
My kid is 5 next month and I have never taken him to Mcdonalds. He has had chick fillet maybe 10 times his whole life and those are rare treats once a 1/4 year maybe. (He had chicken kids meal without fries BTW and with Milk only)
He eats whole foods/fruits/milk/water and that is because i chose to raise him to eat better. I also choose not to take him to Mcdonalds. That is my right as a consumer. It is the right of Mcdonalds to sell a happy meal with a toy though. That is their right as an american company.
The line has to be drawn at the parents. We will crumble as a society if we keep blaming others and do not take the responsibility at home. Raise your kids right and they will raise their kids right.

Exactly! Grandma and grandpa are relegated to the old folks home and mom and dad are portrayed as idiots and sheep following every trend out there.
We are throwing away tons of wisdom by neglecting our ties with the extended family.
Funny, with all this multiculturalism why is it that the ethnic groups that only survived because of their extended families (Hispanics, Native Americans, etc.) don't lobby for its' survival?

The majority of people is too fat already which often leads to dramatic health problems and companies like McDonalds are putting the toys in there so children want the fatty stuff they're selling. But the one who's evil is the state who wants to stop that. It is however good if another entity stops that: the extended family (that doesn't exist anymore). I see.

It's the state stepping into the role of parent. Gavin Newsome is going to veto it anyway. The state needs to stay out of our personal business. Those parents who have no consideration for the health of their own child need to be persuaded to take better care of their kids though. Funny, that's what the community, extended family always did. What happened? Oh, yeah. The activists successfully drove a wedge between the individual and their community.

No, that is where we will have to disagree. This is a consumer driven capitalist country. We make our votes with our wallets. I dont want nor should we have, a big brother government telling our society what we can and cant eat by controlling what businesses can sell. That is called socialism.
Where i can agree with you is that i do think the FDA should pass some laws nation wide, stating that any food sold in america should have the nutritional content labeled on it. No more hidden secrets, you should be aware of what you are putting in your mouth.
The bottom line though, it is the person/parents job and responsibility on what you are eating.
This is a sad state when the government is going to start telling people what to eat.
Now when it comes to cafeteria food in a public school? Yes the government should regulate that because it is tax dollars being spent feeding the kids. They should have overall healthier foods. As a parent, if i dont like this i can send the kid to school with a happy meal.

Disco, the food is highly addicting as it is and McDonalds is very affordable for many families. '
I'll have to disagree with you on this one, it is more about handicapping the corporations and forcing them to make healthier meals and cut down calories.
