Bubba Ho-tep was awesome.
Man With the Screaming Brain was just great
Within the Woods (I have a copy, it's poor quality but any Evil Dead fan wouldn't care).

You need to find the pilot for the series.Within the Woods
Also another weird BC is imhotep or something.
He plays an elderly Elvis Presley in a nursing home that has a resident demon.

Have that on my PC already
I also have a copy of "Within the Woods" on my computer - the half-hour short that Raimi presented to get funding to make it into a full length movie that became Evil Dead

Excellent movie.
I haven't seen it in a number of years though, I should dig it up again for a few kicks and giggles.

Always was my favorite scene - makes me want to burst out laughing too.

The alternate ending I didn't like. It closed off any possible 4th movie with it. The ending used was better. It allowed a possible 4th by having them outside the forest and in his store.

I like the alternate ending to the third one, where he wakes up in a nuclear-devastated land.
(then I watch the Mad Max trilogy for SnG's)

Love them
I have Evil Dead 1 and 2 in "Book of the Dead" editions.
Then (sadly) picked up the "Official Bootleg" edition of Army of Darkness. The TONS of deleted scenes were great but they removed the "Good, Bad? I'm the one with the gun!" line with the "I'm not that good"
As for the series as a whole. Love the movies! I actually had my avatar here for a bit be the "hand" from the second movie. My favorite part of the entire trilogy. Watch the 2nd to see what I mean

Just watched the first Evil Dead....
...with a couple of friends and I have to say, we were amazed. It was creepy, funny as hell, and unlike any horror movie I've ever seen. It was also nice seeing Bruce Campbell's first movie, as he's probably my favorite actor. If chin's could kill, any of us who have watched his movies would be dead by now
I can't believe I never watched this movie. I only ever watched Army of Darkness a long time ago as a kid (which I loved), but for some reason seeing the trailer made me think it would suck. I have the whole series on Blu-ray now and I am glad to have watched the first with a bunch of friends.
What do you guys think of the Evil Dead series as a whole?Tags: None
