Usenet is the absolute best way to get movies and apps. I never could find a real good newsgroup with death metal so I've used BitTorrent and FTPs for that.

I don't remember the name of the one I used but it was like $10-$20 for unlimited bandwidth and 4 connections. I use to max my internet connection non-stop downloading stuff when I still had a subscription. Sadly, my ISP doesn't have a Usenet server either. :\

If you download alot of movies or programs, it'd the way to go.

anyone use news groups , used to use newzbin till they shut down, and my isp stopped supporting newsgroup,
wondering if newsgroups are even thriving nowadays , suppose i would have to get giganews or something equivalent
