  • Black Boxes, not just for Planes!

Cars have Black Boxes? Seriously? They must be smoking crack..

The detective said Koch’s speed was between 62 and 76 mph, but will be confirmed once a crime lab retrieves data from her car’s “black box.” The speed limit on most parts of I-10 is 70 mph.

It's that on-star shit. All that navigational crap that comes with new cars tracks all your stuff. I don't feel like finding the articleS but there was some stuff going down not that long ago where on-star was planning to be in cahoots with cops to where if you were being chased by cops and your car was on-star enabled - on-star could take control of your car, pull you over and lock you in.

There was another thing where they were talking about making it mandatory that all cars are fit with a device that is read by traffic lights. Your "id" racks up miles and at the end of the month the state sends you a bill - essentially turning every road into a toll road. However, they realized that they could turn every road into a toll road and bypass the states by simply raising the price of gas.

In the United States, driving is a privilege and not a right.

States are allowed to attach whatever strings they like to driving privileges, the Federal government somewhat controls the States through financial incentives and penalties.

Considering that I don't think the government really cares where you or I or some teenager or grandpa is driving, and the fact that anything vastly unpopular by the mainstream would be eliminated, I'm not too concerned about anything they'd do in that area.

And they could probably do it via satellite, cameras already installed to monitor traffic or other means like someone's cellphone GPS if they really wanted to.

I mean, why track someone through their car if they could more effectively do it via their cellphone (provided they have one).

If you have a good lawyer and know how to exercise your right as Joe Q Sovereign and not JOE Q CORPORATION (just like I wrote 'em) - all kinds of things become rights.

Joe Q Sovereign (ex) Is not "employed" does not receive an "income" and does not have a "company" or "business" and therefore all the monetary trade that John Q Sovereign accepts for performing skilled acts is un-taxable.

However, just because it can work this way and legally should - doesn't mean there is a Judge in this country that is going to let you get away with redefining your CORPORATE ENTITY with Sovereign legalese

It seems that Canada is still honoring Sovereignty though
