To sum up the max teams.. This is a r00k issue also with the damage part being recieved. Rook has the configs set to max teams 4.. Ill have him look at it again. Also the routing to atlanta has been very bad for some. This is mot the servers issue. I have researched it and the problem is coming from 3-4 hops before the server. Server is fine to most unless you are stuck on that horrible routing where the problem occurs.

In light of find CAX, I take back my previous (sort of kidding statement) at the beginning of this thread.

I WILL use the hook and all that jazz on the RQ server. When I want old school quake (such as it is) I will just play on CAx with all these fine folks who don't mind irish chicks noosing up the place =D

The wicked server has been ruined as their host takes up to 60 ms to respond,so even though its only 10 hops away I am getting over 100 ping there now.
The one in dallas is 20 hops and get 75-85 as that host has no bs delay responding.

the dallas.servequake wont do Ultraviolence it just resets to DM3 and I have to reconnect.also its stuck at max 2 teams.
Also at the wicked server practice mode does not set up right as you receive damage and cant practice.

My server wicked.servequake.com provides a hook enviroment without the runes and it also has well over 200 maps in its rotation. Instead of like shmack having the same 16 year old id maps we all know so very well.. Also includes weapon stay and all features are vote enabled such as runes, alt weapons, etc etc... Id love to play on it more often if i can get a few to join in.. Of course im only home periodically at random times due to my business.

Also another problem with some of the shmack players is they are not willing to try other servers and or mods. I have tried to invite some over to my servers and check it out, as a matter of fact one guy pings like 70-80 at shmack and 20-30 at my server but refuses to come because he thinks i am kimp! <--LOL.. Anyway is what it is.

i think the hook adds a new layer of complexity to matches. the hook is one of the best things to ever happen to quake

Wicked, confusion is stemming from your Avatar, mr funny face. Foq used it as an avatar once upon a time, and this is causing a bluescreen on Phenom's BPU.
