The oldsr model caprice had a bangin 350 souped up. It could hang with a corvette in long range pursuits with no problem, they indeed were the best patrol vehicles ever built. The p71 interceptors have the 4.6ltr chipped engines and were better on fuel but also had great reliablility. Before ford decided to kill off the vic they said the 2012/2013 models would be produced with the 5.0 boss mustang engines. (i have a 2012 ford f150 with this engine). Ford decided it was best to create a new car for the LE world and now they have rolled out the fors interceptor which is only a v6 3.8ltr with the option to upgrade to a v8 5.0ltr. The new caprice has that 6.0ltr v8 and the car overall is spectacular given chevrolets poor ac systems they have always had. Alot of agencies are going with dodge chargers. Since the roll out of the charger in 2006 for a police version they have had minimal issues and are cheaper then the vic in maintenance. Overall i like the new caprice and ive driven one last october and it was great in all aspects. I drove a charger in 2009 and to me the car was just to bulky with alot of blind spots. Driven vics too, as new as 2004, great car but lacks top speed and acceleration compared to the caprice old and new and the charger.

Todd i was not calling you a liberal. I was talking about that site and people in general who hate police. Also law enforcement agencies dont make jack shit off writing a ticket, another fail when people dont know the inside truth. In the State of Florida the state recieves 100% of the funds and in return gives the issuing agency a percentage of 8%. Now it depends who writes the ticket, city, county or state. If a city writes the ticket they recieve 8% back from the state and now the city is within a county and the county wants a piece of that 8%. City gives 2% to the county and wa la! 6% left for the cities general fund. The state used alot of this money for roads, schools, and so on. I was in Law Enforcement for 3 years. I know how atleast the florida system works, i cannot vouch for other states but i know they are not to much different.

FHP runs nothing but traffic, they sit in speed zones where known areas are prone to speeding. I75/I10 is a major corridor through north florida, of course they will heavily patrol these areas. Bottom line is, like i used to tell people back in my LE days, speed limits are posted, you go over you will get stopped, so when are people going to stop blaming the police/trooper/sheriffs for their own ignorance? You speed you get caught your problem. Libturds piss me off posting dumb shit like those speed trap tattle tale bull crap. Break the law, get caught,you pay, nuff said.

Just to add, if a speeder kills your friend or family who are you going to blame for it?? OF COURSE the POLICE!! Why? Because people are hypocrites and dont know WTF they want! 1 day its, police run to much speed traps, next day your mom gets killed and you say ' but if the police would be doing their jobs this would not happen'. when cities go in debt politicians call on their appointed police chiefs to help make up the difference. i searched speed traps and found that site i didnt create it. would be interesting to see if speedtraps increase. the economy is bad and insurance will not cover all the police interceptor costs.
