Online poker would be played more based on the strength of your initial hand I would presume. Know when to fold / Go big?
You don't really require the need to see your opponent, although your spot on with a very key portion of the game missing in an online enviroment.

I would imagine that online poker skills are different from poker played in real life. Unless of course you've got microphones loud enough to hear all tells, and reliable enough webcams to reveal any furrowing of foreheads and other tells.
But then I've never played the game, so meh.
I fail to see how online poker can be any worse than huge casinos in places like las vegas, or are these bans only state laws rather than US/federal laws?

I'd like to see online poker legalized in the US. I've played a little with the assistance of certain Debt cards and some such other ways to deposit money into an online poker account! E-wallets and such... I just want to debt 100 bucks to my account and move on....!It's just too difficult for players in the US to play poker "legally" online! Yeah OK Preach to me!
