I shouldn't buy into all this fn hype.. Why? Because until its wind speed demands the title Hurricane, its just Tropical fn Biatch.

I'm in a odd position to want to experience it ,and get missed at the same time. The latter being common sense, and the other part of me? Well, If ima live in the Gulf of Mexico, best to be understanding the conditions that come with it.

Torrents of rain ain't no joke either... and even a lame old tropical storm can do that.

Speaking from personal experience, ive sat through several hurricanes, Andrew, francis, jeane, charlie, ivan, wilma, and most recently drove an 18 wheeler right through hurricane irene that hit last year in NC/VA.. Living in Florida has its flaws but id rather have a hurricane then constant fears of tornados or earthquakes. Most recently we got flooded by tropical storm debbie, i was unable to get to my house for 3 days, all roads leading to my house were flooded, 3-6 feet deep, my house was ok due to being built on a hill, roads are still flooded some areas and peoples yards look like lakes and ponds. Have fun chris and smoke lots! Only bad part = power outages, so no fn grapes for you!
