When your going to use a image to do the [img] code, rule of thumb ; make sure your link is a direct link, if you see PHP or some shit in there its not a direct link
example of good link, can be gif png jpg or whatever

or when you copy the images url , if you see php in the link it probably wont work, when using google for snagging images for posting actually view the site the picture is on (click the x on the image it initially gives you when you click the avatar to bring up a larger picture) then, copy the image url from the actual posted image. You'll have much success this way!
search google for image , find the image, click the image, click the [x] on the initial first viewing , scroll the site its on find it, right click copy image url , then paste ; check it for direct link.

if you use google images, make sure to click the link 'full-size image' on the right so it shows only the image, and then copy what it says in adress-bar and paste it into a post with the [img] and [/img] tags added to it
