    Thank you Windows XP

    I am amazed. Microsoft Excel 2010 actually runs on Windows XP. I thought that Excel 2010 would only run on Windows 7 and the higher software, but Windows XP surprises me again! (Can Excel 2010 run on Windows 2000? I don't know). But when it runs on XP, that is already a major accomplishment.

    You're missing out on some epic advancements in graphics technology though, Tessellation looks good in modern games just to name one.

      yeah. you miss out a lot being able to use no higher then directX 9
      .
      are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

      everything that is out there for quake and both mission-packs, compiled into one massive thread

        Are you for real? XP only goes up to DX9? I must've missed the train somewhere along the line to have not realised that yet.

          Yea.... DX10,10.1,and 11 all brought something new and fancy to the table. But, you can't HARP on DirectX9 either, because lets be honest ; [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRq_4GAWogE]The Witcher 2: Graphic Showcase, Highest Max Settings - YouTube[/ame]

          Witcher 2 = Fn Epic.

          DX9 is still very much a standard in games today, and probably outweighs the games using DX10/DX11 by a large margin.
