You're welcome. Sell your PS3 on eBay and get a hackable or a allready hacked one. But i don't use the CFW for illegal operations, i use them only for nice backups to hdd. All games i play i buy regularly but it is so nice to have the whole disk on the hdd and loading times are much faster, no noisy disk drive and the laser gets conserved.

Well, then you're f**ked. I got mostly old "Classic" ps3's here they work all flawlessly. But i use an external downgrader (progskeet) and i use 3.55 kmeaw. Rogero i never tried yet.

Well, with ps3 & hax search terms on google i get this page (i hope the link is OK, if not please delete):

This may the one you'll need. The Version is not directly there but is findable with google and/or bing. Oh and it's on the forum that you posted above.

and here's where it gets tricky. in his post he states

8- You need to already be on 3.55 to install this. Installing from any firmware other than 3.55 will simply not work

yeah i saw the rogero latest release. mabe i just read it wrong, but it appreared to be firmware version 4.31 only.

Google for the new Rogero 4.30 FW. There are two versions, the first one which needed to be on 3.55 and a new one which you could flash if you're on 4.30 or less without downgrading. ps3 & hax are good google search terms...

Coming here and wasting this sites pressure bandwidth is always a last resort for me. I've splent literally all day visiting the most trusted and experienced ps3 jailbreaking sites like ps3hax.net. That site is the self-proclaimed official website of ps3 hacks. I've looked for probably 7 hours trying to figure out if i can jailbreak my ps3. And through dilligent research, i've found basically the same answer. that my wife got a, LITERALLY, the one model that can not be hact.

I consider a lot of you guys like a second family and and value your opinion. A lot of times, some of you are extremely savvy when it comes to locating, or helping me realize what i need has been right in front of my face.

What im getting at is, i need y'alls help. I can't think of one instance where someone on here didn't come through for me.

So here's my specs on my ps3:

PS3 model is : CECH 4000B
Firmware is : 4.21

I've read where i need to downgrade to firmware 3.55, but that it's not possible with the firmware i currently have. But out of all the things i've read, the most recent discussion on these forums date back to late october.

If anyone gets bored and has the free time to help me out that would be great. Or is someone has already been through this with the exact ps3 i have and is willing to point me in the right direction that would great...
