I just rediscovered an old game I played when I was about six called Alien X. it's based on Shockwave (3D Groove) and it's rather old-school in its design. (It's somewhat of a mix between Quake I and Unreal I)

Despite being marred by bugs and glitches (as well as only having four levels in total) it's still pretty ambitious for a Shockwave game. I recommend trying it if you haven't already. (It's worth a good 30-60 minutes.)
