E-mail broadcasts about games?

I had an idea to get us CTF'ers together more often. Can the server(s) be set up to e-mail us when a certain # of people are on one? Maybe this could be done with a quakeone.com php script? If there are four or more people playing it would be nice to get an e-mail. Kind of cool for phones e-mails too.

hey minime, I think we should arrange it ourselves over AIM/ICQ. I'm willing to message people whenever I see a CTF game, if people PM me their aim name or icq #. so far, the only person that has taken me up on this is scarecrow, and he can never play
but I dont check any of my 11 email accounts often enough to receive notices in time to join a game in progress

Hi spooker. I don't have AIM or ICQ installed. I have Google Talk installed though. That's the thing about instant messaging, it's not so universal as e-mail. What e-mail account do you check most often? You can use that one. Do you have a mobile phone with an e-mail address? I don't have one but the e-mail that my login here uses is my primary e-mail. I suggest you sort out your e-mail accounts if you can.

I'd rather not install ICQ or AIM, at the moment. Can you instant message me using this forum if there is a game on? That would send me an e-mail.
