The server is in St. Louis.
I ping 40 there from NJ, and it seems pretty smooth. If you guys could post your location and ping that would be great.

    Thanks

Just to echo Mindzy's question, what will the server be running? Vanilla Quake? Coop? or some mod?

              Regards

I seen CTF running, but when I showed up it was in normal mode / classic ctf.

Curious if the "Pick up game" of CTF will be making a return.

as would I, but I don't bother contending with 20minute match mode CTF. I remember back in the day I would playing Hating CTF endlessly, go to bed.

Wake up the next day,go to school, come home, playing Hating CTF endlessly! rinse repeat for months haha.

Most important point of my story? I never waited. I do recall some maps needed to be fixed though, like the E1M1 backroute was locked you couldn't go to Mega at water cave from end of map to start of map. haha.

Same with E4M6 if I recall correctly, a few doors was locked on that map too to keep from cheap capture routes from being exploited.

true some of the original 3wave id maps ent files were not mature to the gameplay. i redid the ent file for e2m1 moving the red base down and putting a door to block an endless blue capture with little effort
some maps were unfairly balanced like e2m2

R00k: How do I get that? The one with the keys as flags, axe as grapple, and no extra player models that require people to download ctf. Do you know?

its beeen alooong time but i think its a teamplay value set in the autoexec on the server. you can check the docs in 3wave 3.0
or i can check the source for the exact value that enables/disables the custom models. once apon a time i had it set standard models for pub and custom only for match
btw i really hate that custom 3wave chain sound
its like a metal chain draging over bucket
