    That is a great idea! I will get on it right away and we can play CTF Chess.I will take the set with me in the rig and battle it out next time I get through your state! I guess it needs to be a 3D set so we can hook of course.....

    Yes indeed I have gone and done it.You just know at some point I am going to print a big fat shambler! I want a pose while hes charging up to make a lamp out of.....

    My first model was a hand dryer. Yep, a hand dryer. So don't panic. We all start somewhere.

    I agree with Talisa about the metal rim on the blade.

    Don't be afraid to add a bit more geometry to get the edge curve smoother. Also, you only have to model one side of the blade. You can mirror one half of the blade to get the other half.

    heh, thats exactly how i feel when i see how amazing teamonster's models look compared to mine

    .

    your axe doesnt look bad at all btw, its quite neat

    the only point of improvement i can see is that the inner curve of the blade part doesnt seem to follow the curve of the outer blade part

    On 2nd thoughts, move along here people, there's nothing to see...


    It's part of a learning exercise I'm tortuously putting myself through for a game I'm working which at the moment requires a large 2 handed axe. I'm open to helpful "newbie friendly" suggestions if anyone has any.
