I used to run Blender on work machines and my home machine back in 2007. It was Blender 2.4x, but it was better than milkshape.

And the work machines were office rigs with Intel graphics, not studio monsters.

Running the latest Blender will be bad for you, but 2.48 should run fine

it seems downright silly to use a super-old program like milkshape when you could just use blender
The Blender 1 demo ran so slowly for me that I never even considered 2.3. If you couldn't tell from the Windows XP, my computer is old. My specific unit I believe was built in late 2007 or early '08, and even then it was a budget PC. I just figured that since Blender 1 wouldn't run well at all, why would a later one? So now I've got the choice between a modelling program from October '03 and one I was already using from July '09.

It is the only one I can run. To adapt your example, it's more like there's a regularly sized tricycle and a bunch of motorcycles made for Robert Wadlow.

As for what I've been up to in this front,

Textures are terrible but I just used them to figure out mapping. Everything but the face and skeleton is done.

The RL NG certainly has a very realistic feel to it, although for some reason instead of taking my mind off things for an hour playing Quake it would probably remind me of all the DIY jobs around the house I should be doing. . If you do do any updated Quake Weapons please let me know as it would be fun to see it in game especially from someone who actually plays and appreciates the game

    Kind regards

    Oh my!
I've not tried SL myself but you've certainly got a talent there, Talisa. Keep up the good work

I was wondering, have you ever remodelled any of the Quake weapons (LG, RL, GL, etc) to have a more realistic look with modern textures? I know a lot of people like to keep it authentic but it might be interesting to see how it would look if Quake was rebuilt today. If you (or any other of our talented artists for that matter) have any it would be great to see them here.

    Kind regards
