i tried to get spooker to play ra, got 1.1 games out of him, then he yelled 26000!! and left. I hate runes. dm.quakeone.com is fine because it only has 4 un-potent runes that dont disturb the game too much, but when someone just blows up like a suicide bomber i usually leave the game coz it disgusts me.

That vid reminds me of the one Gohan was in. Anyone have that laying around btw?? I damn wish I could've played Gohan. People say he is better than Tical... Yeah runequake does piss me off sometimes with the gay death spots and campers everywhere. But you learn to avoid them and stuff. I have been CAing a lot more and am hoping to join the cql tourney. RA is still my main mod...

Yellow you should fight Bosh in RA. Very tough to hit and dodge his shots. He beat me 15-14, and 15-13. It would make a good battle.

Yeah. that one. I just watched the whole thing, I have to say very amazing. But really, I can do all of that stuff too. A whole game of him playing would be more representative. They don't show when he dies or anything, just all of his good frags.

Gohan's video is in the TLTQ archives. And yeah, Gohan was better than Tical. Everyone always wanted to 1 on 1 Gohan and no matter what mod/rules it was, Gohan usually had 50 and the other player had negative frags. Every once in a while an elite player would 1 on 1 him and only lose like 50-17.

Quazy and DFG were somewhat close to Gohan levels. I think Quazy could beat Gohan in a 1 on 1 and DFG once edged out Gohan 50-49 in a 1 on 1 (Gohan said he wasn't trying).

One time time Chuck set Widomaker to a 10 minute time limit with no frag limit and Gohan had 136 frags on DM6 in that 10 minutes.

I've played all 3 of the above players, and while Quazy and DFG are certainly incredibly formidable players, nothing sucked so bad as playing in a game with Gohan -- even with 10-16 players it felt like he was camping the entire map.

That video is from QHLAN, a QuakeWorld event they do in Sweden, I believe. They might do Quake 2/3/4 and maybe other games too (I'm guessing). Most things that started off as Quake eventually broadened out to attract a wider audience.

I could beat DFG in RA back in the day. But never gohan... he was something else man. I think he bots

I wish I could be as good as Tical or any one of those elite guys. I just can't figure out what more I need to do to be a better player, except work on my aim. It just seems that some days I can aim extremely well and others its not as good. I think I will remain at this same skill level. I can't figure out what else to do to become a better player.

And foqer, I don't believe you. I haven't even heard of you except on the tltq forums as "george". Noone hails you like Gohan , or Tical.

You've got aim, you need to learn to rely on aim less to dominate. Tical uses map control and tactics, in addition to his aim, which is why he can beat you in a 1 on 1.
