  • Stealth Quake

    Here's a mod I'm working on, it's a retelling of Quake if it were a stealth/horror game.


    Enjoy!

    Few notes, movie was taken in Darkplaces and recorded with Fraps. It had to be artificially darkened in a movie editor because Fraps didn't take Darkplaces light level into accounts while recording. Inside the game is a bit more menacing/darker. Feel free to ask questions.

    That's CRAZY COOL! Cant wait to play this, as i really like the tom clancy's splinter cell series.

    ** on a side note, i noticed that shadow volumes in dp are occluded when outside the pov
    (-- i am only stating --, and pissing in the wind here cause i haven't a clue about shadow volumes code! )


    Is there a reason the monsters are illuminated?

          Monsters are illuminated so you're able to see them in the dark, otherwise it's way too hard.

              I think FrikaC did something kinda similar.

              After playing Eternal Darkness a few years ago, I wanted to do something like that, but not a stealth/Thief-style game.

              Co-op survival horror -- now that would be cool.

                RennyC sucks at this game. I ended up finishing most of the maps because he used up all our lives

                  @gulliver-trans,
                  closest thing I remember Frika making was Vile, but had nothing with stealth. That mod was still freaky due to it being dark and the Vile's eyes being full bright red.

                  Sniper, I'll give you the backstabbing code it's only a few lines; hit me up on MSN.

                    New updated video. I managed to sneak past E2M2 without dying, not an easy task! Also you may see some updated/new things including completely revamped AI that plays better according to this style of game.

                      I'm the master at Stealth Quake. All RenegadeC does is put me in bad situations jk I do the same to him (on purpose). BUT HE SHOT ME!!!

                        Accidentally! I shot at the ogre, due to my Quake dude being pissed scared he misfired and hit you. I did laugh though because the odds of that happening are really low.
