Shadow Warrior Classic (1997) on Steam

I just got this game even though i had the disc but it broke.
the game is pretty fun so far i'd try it out
and for those who are wondering about the price it is FREE.

Anyhow, if someone is interested in an advanced engine / port for this game:
- Jonof´s port (recommended)
- Proasm

There are also High Resolution textures and md2 models available for this game in 1st link. Just in case someone want to use these kind of things.

Proasm works pretty well except it crashes and Jonof's port seems really buggy for me.

Is there any ports to windows 7?
some of these ports either crash or can't find the grp file.

@Shambler234,I think there might be a couple experimental ports for Shadow warrior at the Duke HRP site,But I have not been there in a while.

There's a working eDuke32 port. But when I move my mouse to the left it starts spinning erratically (right works flawlessly so no idea).
Running it in Dosbox works great, but I can't stand the parallel vertical lines and black fog anymore.
Shame there's little programmers who want to put in the time to have something functional, can't really blame them either, no one plays this game anymore.

I would put some time into converting it to work with eDuke32, but I don't really have the time to spare, but I know somebody who's working on a new build engine, but I don't know when he think's an alpha build will be available to test.

So, there are people working on it, but very few.

1.) Shadow Warrior Redux
It is already released (since 2013-07-09).
It brings some graphical enhancements and both addons are included (with updated port).

2.) Shadow Warrior (Reboot)
Will be released fall 2013.
That is a brand new game with faithful Shadow Warrior gameplay.
It will hopefully be what "Duke Nukem Forever" was meant to be for Duke.

Hello Webangel,

Yes, they look like they fit really good into the original Shadow Warrior ambience.
The last screenshot with the tree is amazing.
The monsters are weird and very "chinese" looking

I am really looking forward to this game.
