    Hi there

I didnt posted here for a long time... Now i moved from Italy to Scotland, in search for a job. Italy is nearly collapsing...

I had an idea: start a Minecraft Server with crowdfunding, maybe it will help my finances

So i'm collecting opinions about the game, with a serie of polls. If you're interested you can share your opinion about the server plugins!

    here is the link:

Hmm, im kinda confused as to how a server costs 75-thousand pounds a year.
All for a game. I dont have a conversion table in front of me maybe thats really only $500.

You might make more money if u made a "bukkit plugin", then sold it to other server admins.

On a side note i wonder how much resources are wasted by people playing video games over the internet. It's not like servers run off of the sun like little flowers....

Games take a miniscule amount of bandwidth but totalling it up across Consoles,PC,and other weird platforms.... I bet its 25% gaming to Torrents 55% and 10% voip 10% streaming video.

75k is the price of the business broadband (100/100) and a full time wage for 2 employee working at the server for a whole year. That's not supposed to be an homemade server run bi kids in their bedroom.

75k is just nuts. You can lease a low-end dedicated server from a reputable hosting provider for $75/mon. Or upgrade to a nicer server for $150ish a month.

Good luck trying to get $75k...
