  • Hi to all.

    I release compilation of Hexen2 with some additions - both H2 and PoP music, remake and add some Incubs textures, add some my new textures, make some fixes, and other and other.

    Full game now take about 600MB. There link to download page.

    P.S. I implement PBO and FBO support in jsH2, but not rewrite bloom code for PBO and FBO, so i suppose ATIs bloom problem still exist in some cases.

        600? It´s just 349MB. But no matter, it is absolutely great release. External gfx and music(I already have this soundtrack, add much more atmosphere than midis). You could also add loading music and episode endings music (when you kill boss and picture with text pop up).

          • Wow! Thanks man, this version is impressive.
            The PIP is practically gone (except underwater, from what I see so far, it's minimal but it remains, see screenshot). (Tried both PBO and FBO) with Catalyst 10.10 hotfix e.
            All in all, a great release, thanks a lot

              But I noticed a strange behavior when i use inkub0s textures:

              • @jeank: Really impressive work! The last version I used was 1.18 if i remember correctly and this one is like a whole new world. If you remember, I asked you a while ago (on this forum) if you would implement a function to disable mouse acceleration and support for mp3 music - and you did it (and very elegantly so)! Thank you again and great work!

                    I glad to see good feedbacks for new pack.

                    Mathuzzz - i mean like Seven say, 600 MB is unpacked size

                    Bloodbat - hope in future bloom be work with render in PBO or FBO, because PBO/FBO interfaces work, but bloom render code still unchanged.

                    About webangel textures evidence with incub's pack- that incorrect case of non2pow textures extention work, disable nonpow2 textures extention from menu, restart game and that bug disappeared.

                    gerhard.kiels - yes, i read suggestions and helps (yes, i must say thanks to Spikes and WhiteMagicRaven for help), and try implement new suggestions if i can.
                    (Little remark - in build zfight bug fix be work if var gl_ztrick set to 0)

                    inkub0 - yes, i plan add pk3 support, at least for textures. Also i try change particle systems, and then see about bump or parallax.
                    And in final be per-pixel lighting, as most difficult task.

                      It will be great! I hope you can bring JSHexen to darkplaces levels =)

                      I'm still searching for a skilled mapper to add nice RTLIGHTS to hexen2 levels!
                      My work on the textures is now very hard... the worst are bass-reliefs and paintings... too hard to find!

                      • Offtopic: Guys Hexen Edge of Chaos is released, inkub0 you have great talant on making textures for hexen games, did you have ideas to contribute to hexen edge of chaos?

                            I am know team, team is friendly.
                            I am beta tester (look at Game Credits)
                            Your Art work is awesome. And every one it see.
                            Many who just simply register and first post "i am ... mapper .. modeler" and people now in team.
