@Inkub0: Your texture pack crashes UQE. It seems to be some kind of non-standard JPG issue. I've created standard test JPG files using Photoshop and it works fine, but your JPGs crashes UQE.

I'm using Q3A's jpg library.

I'm currently in the process of replacing the whole sound system used in UQE Hexen II with a brand new FMOD-based system using the latest release of the FMOD API!

At the moment all music playback has been re-written.
UQE Hexen II v1.15 features FMOD music playback capability for OGG/MP3/WAV as well as FMOD-based CD Audio playback.

Today I finished up FMOD-based midi music playback.
Getting rid of the old WinMM-based CD Audio playback and midi playback shaved quite a lot off the EXE size and reduced the amount of code that needs to get compiled.

It probably also gets rid of a few legacy issues that might become problematic in the future.

Next on my todo-list is to do a bit of experimentation on in-game sound effects.

I've just finished updating UQE's bloom code.
Its been visually improved, since it felt slightly blurry.

The bloom logic itself was improved by testing for the presence of the "GL_EXT_framebuffer_multisample" extension and if its found it creates a multisample fbo buffer to allow the rendering of MSAA to the buffer to get rid of jaggies when having bloom enabled.

UQE Hexen II v1.15 is done!
It'll probably get released today or tomorrow, then my focus shifts to UQE Quake.

With UQE Hexen II v1.15 there will be no software renderer. However, I've ensured that the OpenGL renderer is capable of emulating the classic oldschool effect that the software renderer had.

It looks really cool, and it definitely takes me back to the good old days of software rendering and playing Hexen II on my 486DX4 100Mhz.

that wallpaper is pretty cool

EDIT: nvm about the resolution, i just tried making the pic just simply be stretched to 1920x1080
and it actually looks quite good that way without that it looks squished vertically

Nice work Korax, also to make GLHexen2 feel more like software rendered it must be added underwater warp shader, water warp shader, and overbright lightning. Heh for me that is hard, i am only able to add overbright from BengtOverbrights.zip Index of /files/engines/ but it not compatible with color lightning.
MH -> developer of DirectQ is developed good water warp shader but it on direct3d.
Also Skulltag and GZDoom has water warp shader.
FTEQW very close to underwater warp that has software hexen2 or quake
