except you need them for the .net runtime stuff.

Anyone know what the extra face flag in Hex2 .map files is used for? Would help the Trenchbroom developer Kristian, personally I'm stumped.
Is TrenchBroom really easier than Quark?
I wouldn't know for sure as I mostly just use Hexmaker, which is prbably the easiest but it lacks some advanced features and it's entity file is slightly outdated. Still the emphasis on a 3d only view might give them more incentive to really streamline the process. Hopefully to a level that meets Hexmaker at least.
Best to just give it a try a create some maps with it until H2 support comes around.
golden_boy, right now I use Quark, which I think can run on Linux. About mapping tools, the best ones (in terms of map limits) I think are UQE tools. I use 1.15 tools(newer does not work for me under Windows XP).
