yep... nowadays manufacturers care way more about quantity then quality way to often
its apparently more important to most companies to make as much copies as possible so they can sell as much of a product as possible,
rather then having products of which they can assure the quality and which live long
an engine that supports different games ?
It must be Spike´s brother
But seriously, if your carefully read what DarkOne said, you will see that the engine, is only "capable" to load Daikatana maps. They are not playable and not even "walkable" due to clipping issues.
So the status is light years away from "supporting" Daikatana.
Just like Darkplaces can load Hexen2 maps now, but that was it. The complete game mechanic, HUD, inventory, ... is missing.
But nevertheless an interesting link (unfortunately 9 years ago).
I'm releasing an update for UQE Hexen II as well as UQE Quake in the next few weeks. Most of the tweaks involve moving the project to VS2012, updating libraries and fixing two minor issues. The one being that rotating items weren't lit up correctly and fixing a gamma issue when making screenshots.
Then I'll also release my first version of UQE Doom 3 at the same time.
