  • Are there any Doom remakes for Quake?

It appears that remaking levels from Doom in other games is a fairly popular thing to do.

Because of this I was wondering if there are any remakes of Doom levels for Quake.

Are there any? I know someone remade parts of Doom for Quake 2 but I don't know about Quake 1.

    ?

        Hey Hardcore-gamer..,

I made one in june 2009.
A remake of the first Doom 1 level "The Hangar" to Quake1.
Also made a total convertion of the monsters also, with their own qc.
You can make your own doom levels with texture wad and use the doom monsters also within the Quake1 engine.

        The Hangar:

          Hello Madfox,

I know several maps from you, which I all enjoy.

Just recently I also found your compilation of Quake replacement monsters.
I love the TROG a lot and use it to replace the fish randomly in my Quake.

Seeing your Doom mod with total convertion monsters is very interesting.
I like your Doomguy (guy.mdl) VERY much.
Its animation quality sticks out of the others. Really good job.
His alternative attack animation (hunkered down) is simply great

          Best wishes,
          Seven

            thanks for your support!

I remebered the doom models came from the ZDoomGL project.
Their framecount is lower so they became a bit blocky.
Also had a cl_bright problem with the skin colours.
I would like to do Transparant, but quake's engine won't allow.

I tried to make the shootingheight getting lowered also,
but as the player can't crouch it's an undone job.
            Bouncing boxes don't like groundplanes.

The Elden_Ogre is one of my favorite models.

Correct answer: Cannot be found above, but is as follows ...

                Best answer: http://cd.textfiles.com/cream/cream23/doom/cybrdmon.zip
Second best answer: Index of /cream/cream23/doom as this gentleman was a Doom-freak who ported stuff to Quake like a madman.

Should you be interested in Doom monsters in Quake you should check out (yes the Doom monsters are not pictured, but those are spoilers and you should not be allowed to view the surprises without playing the map artists work and JPL is among the 5 best base-map level designers we have ever seen in Quake -- and if you like Doom monsters and Quake and superb futuristic level design this one is for you):

event.zip - Event Horizon by JPL in the Quake map archive at Quaddicted.com

This high quality single player release earned a 16/20 critic's score (from a critic --- underworldfan --- who was damn stingy with the points, 12/20 meant quality). And Baker is withholding information like usual, but this is a damn awesome single player release if you like Doom. (What is Baker withholding? Hahaha ... only me and the zombies shall know ... that's what!)
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
