        Thank's for posting this Zop. I have reached out onto that thread and hopefully we can get some of them here. Now i did see a few post on Quake World. Unfortunately i do not play Quake World or at least if i do it's once or twice a year and that is to only see how many server's are still left going. Hopefully with this link you posted above we can lure some of them here.

                Hey Mindz I do support you and this project 200% BUT...


                What about making the inventory of similar projects made before (and sometimes not so long ago). In 2nd place I'd try to understand 'why' they didn't succeed attracting the community (newbees in particular). In 3rd place I'd take some 'risks' (calculated ones) and start PROMOTING it.

                Mindz don't try recruiting 10 people for this... only find 'ONE partner'... just ONE will already be excellent.


                The main 'argument' I've ever heard about this 'challenge' was made by R00k if I remember right (or may be g_b) saying:
                'Anything that look/feel like Quake won't make it'... reason to find another name and to mess around with the content (all the content).

                Some other people are saying this would not be Quake anymore... which I tend to agree.


                I got only ONE question at this point... I'm almost sure all maps from Episode #1 is 'free' but what about Episodes #2-#3-#4 (end map etc.).

                  The physics of NetQuake are what make QUAKE - QUAKE for a multiplayer gamer.

                  It could look like freaking Shoots N Ladders and the rocketlauncher to spit out fn lollipop projectiles, they will still travel at the same speed as a rocket would normally.

                    We can always launch sperm out of the rocket launcher and make a sound that goes something like "pew pew pew pew pew pew pew" every time a sperm rocket is launched. Turn the GL into flying turds and make a sound where it sounds like a turd dropping out the bottom of an ass. Can make the LG a penis since its nickname is "shaft" and people reference penises to "shaft". The SNG could have tater tots flying out of it at rapid speeds. The NG could be a pair of boobs spraying milk all over the place. Still searching for what we could replace the SSG and SG with. ;]

                      Wicked, Steam somehow has another forum for Quake (but, in this case, all of them together) at Quake series - Steam Users' Forums . It doesn't get as much action, but you never know where people will show up.
