got quake working in a window

DemonTag, minus the Demon!

one of the players is a huge demon armed with.. umm, arms. Ones that end to big claws of course. The demon can only attack people on melee range, but it's quite a bit faster and tougher than the regular players. If/when someone kills the demon, he receives 10 frags and gets transformed into a demon.

I quoted IKC mods page, in my opinion that would be an excellent.

what possible tweaks to Practice mode could be made that didn't tarnish it?

true setti g max frags to 50 is easy.
the mod does reset back to match mode if no one is on the server after 5 minutes too.
i was planning on adding a zombie mode to CAx
ya ya i know *gasp* another mode!

Pmode is getting boring. However only 1 person enjoy's it so much that it get's voted 24/7.

Anyway, I am off for the remainder of the night until tomorrow night. Been up 23 hours and getting to old to keep doing this shit!

i idled sunday night around 1am until someone showed lasker i think it was we played about and hour and i remained idling until the server kicked me for afk.

we should start our sunday night ctf again!

I dont play with a 20ping, its worthless IMO. I also can't read minds brah, I got a messenger and you got that.

I pq_lag 10 or 20 everytime it's unlikely that I'll attempt the adjustment to 20ms ping. I play at CAx whenever the people are there, I tend to just go where the gibbing can be found. That's normal for me.

I won't play at rage, but i figured since you had a 20 ping there now you would pop on and get gRaped real quick. I was pinging 90-120 from a hotel so it's not like it mattered where i went.

BS if that were true then you would have connected to cax.quakeitup.com 2 nights in a row. I sat there for 6 hours sunday and 4 hours monday. No one showed up.
Hell i even idled at rage for an hour and 3 mins. All at night time between 6pm-2am..

They had like 7-9 people at quaketx.

Anyways I bought a nice ass mouse and mouse pad just now. Im'm going to set everything up tonight. I should be home around 11:15pm eastern time if anyone is down to play. But i gotta install my mouse and shit

And settup commands and all that.

In newest ProQuake you can press Alt Enter to toggle between fullscreen and window at any time. There's also a built in resolution/video optioln.

Have you tried the following in your config.cfg?

vid_fullscreen "1"
vid_windowed_mode "0"

For the resolution you could also try adding...

vid_height "480"
vid_width "640"

To cap the FPS you could try

pq_maxfps "225"

Lastly, if you like playing on servers that have additional custom maps (as many servers do these days) you could try adding the following to your config.cfg to download missing maps automatically

cl_web_download "1"
cl_web_download_url "[COLOR="DarkOrange"]bigfoot.quake1.net/[/COLOR]"

Note that there may be map download servers other than bigfoot that may be closer to you if you are in the USA and if this is the case simply change bigfoot.quake1.net/ to the appropriate server address.



Caution: The above is untested as I have no access to a "Quake" PC at the point of writing this but they do normally give me 640x480x225fps full screen when using the latest proquake.
