Every kid I know personally who playa games seem to do better in life in general compared to someone who watches TV, Reads a book or simular.

nothing new.... its been proven a million times.
the problem is that the masses just dont wanna hear it and ignore the facts

just like the masses still think 'gaming is for kids',
while studies have shown the average gamer is 30-40

and the masses also wanna continue to think gaming 'is something for guys',
while multiple studies have shown that nowadays 48% of gamer-population is made up of females

or another one of these things is 'gaming makes people violent',
while studies have time and time again shown the opposite to be true.

these things are all known facts, but the masses just continue to ignore them and
firmly hold on to believing the exact opposite of what studies have shown over and over again

why do the masses just ignore these studies and hold on to believing the opposite, is beyond me...

I hate stereotypes; I really do. The masses constantly ignore these studies because they like to believe in stereotypes... I'm not dissing my father, but my father is an example of a person who supports stereotypes... My father thinks that women cannot do well in engineering studies. I know many women who perform extremely well in engineering. They are really good at mathematics and physics. But whenever I bring up these points, my father refuses to listen to me. As for me, I refuse to believe the stereotypes. I like to take the time to analyze the truth. This explains why I'm a little bit slow when it comes down to reaching a conclusion. (But hey, better safe than sorry!)
