Upon visiting quakeone.com, Firefox warned me about quakeone.com being an attack page. The information page I got was different than the one you linked, Mindz. This I think is the right descriptor page. It actually says there hasn't been anything suspicious in the last 90 days while saying there has been on incident within the last 90 days, without any indicators like the site you linked, Mindz.

Chrome is putting off a much different version. Can not log in here via laptop only by mobile using chrome mobile app.

        The site ahead contains malware

Attackers currently on quakeone.com might attempt to install dangerous programs on your computer that steal or delete your information (for example, photos, passwords, messages, and credit cards).

The malware has been removed. It will take Google up to 24 hours to remove the warnings you may be getting through Chrome or from referrals through Google.com .

Was it some random link posted, or did the advertisers get hit, or... details can't be stated?

The ads had nothing to do with the issue. All I'll say is there was a hidden iframe included in the site code that was linking to a malware infected site. I won't go into details on how the iframe was included in the site for obvious reasons.
