  • I need some help...

How can I turn off graphics on Darkplaces? I've heard you can play Quake on classic settings from somewhere, but forgot what commands you type in the console.

Why not use the options menu and select Normal Lighting and set effects to Quake?

Why would you choose one of the most advanced Quake engines out there, just to play classic looking Quake? It's going to be infinitely easier to do as xaGe suggested and just use the options menu?

I've heard that Engoo is a great 'classic Quake' engine that will do you justice... here's a video of it in action.

how to quite literally turn off the graphics card in one simple step

          1) turn off the monitor

there is an extreme version of this, but it requires a gun

          it is as follows

          1) shoot your graphics card

          (I'm just messing around btw)
