I've studied AirQuake's file structure and I should be able to make a non-gamedir EZ Installer for it (there are no model/sound/map file overlap with any existing mod last time I checked).
BUT ... damn the controls are so alien to any other Quake mod.
Is there any way to make AirQuake's controls somewhat compatible with existing aliases? As far as I can tell it involves MAJOR key binding to even play, which is a big deterrent to playing it because it is very difficult to know what you have to do when connected to the server to play.
I have setup a new AirQuake server at fvf.servequake.com:26001
The server is in New Jersey, and is hosted by ORL who also hosts FvF. I ping 140-160 from Croatia (which is great for me), so you guys should ping pretty good too.
The server currently runs the 4 default maps that come with AirQuake but we will also add new maps soon. The server has been enhanced with a voting system, and allows you to vote any map.
Rules:
- Timelimit 20
- Fraglimit 30
So, get AirQuake and connect fvf.servequake.com:26001
