  • Fan fiction?

Does anyone know where to find fan fiction based on quake 1 besides quadraptor's page? I've yet to find any. Most I've found are based on quake 2 and up.

Would that include comics, like my old favorite, Dank & Scud?

Well, PlanetQuake used to have an excellent fan fiction site called the Quake Literary Guild. However since theyve moved theyve managed to break nearly everything so sites like that now are impossible to find, and alternating the url (it was planetquake.com/guild) nowadays takes you to a generic page. Motherfucking PlanetQuake, no respect for Quake's past. Theyre willing to sit on an archive and let it rot in darkness.

theres a few pieces of fan fiction there however

Bank wrote a short story as well:

(It's only on my site because he gave me permission to put it there)

Thanks for the links. I've already read "How I became a cowboy." It was pretty good.
Most of the ones on the expo are quite short unfortunately.
I can't seem to access the dank and scud pdf versions of the comic or the flash movies.
            What's Grey Void?

The ones on QExpo are actually from a fan fiction forum thread on i3d, so yeah, no intention on length there.

Do you have a link to the fan fiction forum thread on i3d? I tried the link in your post but I can't find any of the fan fiction.

You didn't find it? Try clicking here.
Then select an issue and you're ready to go

PS: Grey Void is a infinite hole, part of Dank and Scud comics. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Pdf and flash versions are broken.

The grey void is the space outside of a quake map, it was rendered Grey in DOS/WinQuake and Black/Red in GL engines.

Here's the void in Qrack on the start map:

My bad I should have explained it, it was just a really funny reference at the time.
