Sharing items in the cooperative mode

Hi.

When playing in the cooperative mode, only weapons are shared between players, but ammo, armor and suits are not. Is there any way to share them too?

It's been waaaaaay too many years since I played vanilla coop for me to answer that directly, however I still play the RQuake Coop Mod and I know that you can use the "throw_ammo" command to share ammo. Plus if you enable the runes (vote-runes) on the same server we used to have 1 player with the Medic Rune (so he/she can add health to players on your team and create health pack enitities) and another with the armour rune (so they charge team member's armour back up and also create new armour entities on the map). It's not exactly what you are looking for, but this tends to keep your team pretty charged up and keeps them more engaged in the game
