You guys might like this! Been meaning to share! I got the poster-box at the QuakeWorld release party in September 1996 in Manhattan. It was a display box hanging on the wall. There were about 10 or so of them on the walls.
JohnC and Bearett (sp?) Alexander were there, forget if other id people were there. This is the party that Christian Antkow met the id guys & they hired him soon after. At the party we clan RevCo played the clan UA. We were the first & second quake clans to exist, as far as we knew. Later in 1997 I ended up running the UA clan. Heh.
The sig edition CD I got at the QW release party. At Quakecon 2006 I asked JohnC, Tim Willits and Todd Hollenshed to sign it. The CD is stamped with signatures at the factory too so now it's a double signature edition.
Anyway, here it is..

Remember this is a 'press pack' - meaning it's not the real magazine but photocopies of this (and many other) Quake stories in the mainstream press so that the attending press at the release party know how much press the game is getting. The files are too big to post here so I've uploaded them onto imageshack. The page three image is larger (has the PC Gamer cover in it) than the others. It is readable but you'll need to right click the image and click 'view image' to see it full size. Remember to zoom into the image after you view it. Alternatively, you can save these images and view them in an image viewer for better viewing/reading.
