I've always been crap at DM quake. I got "okay" at CTF and Rune quake, but that was a long time ago. personally don't like weapons with low hit speed, and that's pretty much everything in Quake. I can't predicted where other damn players are going to be in 0.5 seconds. Stupid game.

thats crazy, if it's true, it might explain how he got better so quickly in CTF.
I remembered him being horrible, and a few months after he left TuSa for Sped, he was 500 times better. Never really noticed anything suspicious.

Mainly with Phocus, I'm frustrated that he always knows where I am.
I am probably the most adept player alongside Nate at being sneaky in CA and getting behind people and he still pre-shafts me around wall corners exactly where I am hidden. No one else notices.

For me, I find it's pretty easy to determine who cheats, I've watched a lot of good players mainly cata, spoon and a few others, and not once has the thought entered my mind that they cheat. Yet every time I play him (and no its not a representative bias based on prior encounters and hearing how he used to cheat) I see him pull off more and more bullshit, the same goes for Speedy Gonzalez. I also love how when he's the last one left and everyone is observing he suddenly plays "clueless" and walks around like a newbie tilting his head from side to side pretending he is seeking out the enemy, he doesn't even manage in the least bit to make it look normal.

With speedy gonzalez, his most obvious move is when he pops above water to shaft you when your inside water, and yet even if you move far from the last spot he saw you before he popped out of water he still shafts you for your entire health in your new location although technically, he should have NO idea where you are now as compared to before.

Gonzalez also goes in one game from being the worse player in the game to suddenly being the most dominant Quaker you will ever witness.
The difference between the two is drastic, you can tell its completely contrasting play styles.

With Phocus, the pre-firing gets me the most, he consistently hits me with rockets and pre shafts around corners, to me its usually the pre shaft that gives it away especially since he pinpoints exactly where I am behind a wall and fires previous to even entering the room. If this was legit, I would deem his reaction time unfathomable and therefore he must have inherited Babe Ruth's incredible genetics.

Anyway, thats my 2 cents, you can troll me if you want to or agree, it doesn't make a difference it wont change my opinion.

Tal, it would be your spot to speak up on who you think the worst is at this current time, being you started the thread. Funny thing is, when I try to think of who the worst is, I can't even think about it because I tend to recognize the better players on scene. Tough question nonetheless. I'm gonna go ahead and go with Phocus, and probably Monoxide as worst players. Lots of things figure in by me saying this. Mainly the cheats they needed to win CQL or just win on pub servers.

How about the guy who has (bind x "kill") so when he gets in a fight and starts to lose he just kills himself thats some lame stuff!

I've seen a few people play like this in my day and while it is a strategy to keep your opponents frags low its very very VERY lame hah!

I'll say the worst player is that one kid (he goes by multiple names but you know it's him by the way he talks) that will keep saying stuff like:

"Poor Quadraptor, has to cheat."
"Put the cheat away, Quadraptor."
"Poor Quadraptor"

(he picks someone out, generally whoever's on top. I just used my name for example)

Over and over and over on shmack. Then when you tell him to shut up he starts saying something like:

"I'm gonna tell Slot that you have a bot."
"You're going to be banned now."
"I'm going to crash the server"

And then leaves and nothing happens.

The "worst" player is the one who talks more than plays and can't shut up about ....

1) how great they are when they are winning
2) how cheap some kill was when they die
3) makes fun of newbies like they aren't there

... while failing to realize no one actually cares what they think. :d
