Even if you check it daily, there are issues of what time one checks it in relation to timezones, etc.

I think the issue is more people need more "in advance" warning. For example, I checked forums on Thrus. and then now today, Sat. So obviously, I missed it. If CTF games are going to become regular, needs to have at least a few days warning, or better yet, to have a set time and day every week.
