It's official, I'm setting up 2 servers. Need help!

Hey,

I spoke with Chad from FatPipeServers and we are going to setup two servers, but he does not have the required files to setup NetQuake.

INC told me I simply need to send him a quake folder and a server .exe, what else do I need? I want to make this as simple as possible for him.

What mod (crmod, ffa, cax ...) ? He'll need maps too.

Plus: tell him to set you up on port 26000. They always try to give you some weird port number like 27830, which isn't the Quake default.

I want one CRMod server and one FFA server.

So what exactly do I need to provide?

First, here is the best road-tested server to give him (
Anti-wallhack and ip masking. Speaknow uses this one.)

Pull the progs.dat out of the zip and give him that and tell him to put as quake\crmod\progs.dat on the server.

(Setting up the admin code, not sure how that works.)

FFA:

Wait for the European players to see this thread. That's all they play for the most part and they have a killer setup using RuneQuake with all the runes turned off and everything is normal. Supports 200 custom maps.

/I should really put the finishing touches on the map repository so ProQuake and Qrack players can just connect and have it download the map super-fast if someone doesn't have it.

(If you end up needing some serious help with this, I can IM with you. But I'm not exactly sure when as in the exact date and time.)

They are working on getting this setup as we speak. Hopefully it will be up and running by tonight so we can test it out.

It will be Match, but a FFA server with custom maps should be up in the following week as well.
